Dubai, UAE; 26 November 2025: In a step toward achieving the annual objectives of the Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence, specifically, accelerating the adoption of artificial intelligence and strengthening the Emirate’s position as a leading global centre for innovation and future technologies. The General Command of Dubai Civil Defense, in partnership with the “Dubai AI Campus”, the largest dedicated cluster of AI companies in the region at the DIFC Innovation Hub launched the “Civil Defense AI lab.” This lab is a specialised platform designed to expedite the development and application of artificial intelligence technologies in fire safety, emergency response, and life-saving operations.

The launch ceremony was attended by His Excellency Major General / Jamal bin Adhed Al Muhairi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Civil Defense; His Excellency Arif Amiri, CEO of the Dubai International Financial Centre Authority; Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Essa Al Mutawa, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Smart Services; and Mohammad Alblooshi, Chief Executive Officer of DIFC Innovation Hub 

His Excellency Major General Jamal bin Adhed Al Muhairi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Civil Defense, affirmed that the launch of the Innovation Lab is a strategic step toward establishing an integrated smart system. This system will bolster the readiness of civil defense teams and facilitate the integration of artificial intelligence technologies into rescue and public safety operations. He further stated, “We aim to develop smart firefighting technologies, initiate joint innovation programs, fortify partnerships across the public and private sectors, build national expertise, and forge global alliances to adopt the most advanced practices.”

Silicon Valley Visit

As part of this partnership, the “Dubai AI Campus” the largest dedicated cluster of AI companies in the region at the DIFC Innovation Hub, is organising an official visit for the Civil Defense delegation to Silicon Valley in the United States. The delegation will seek to study the latest global technologies, focusing on robotics, drones, AI-powered command systems, and future firefighting technologies. The visit will also include meetings with leading start-ups and global corporations to explore innovative solutions that can enhance the capabilities of Civil Defense and raise the efficiency of Dubai’s emergency response system.
