Dubai, UAE; 27 October 2026: Scale AI, the reliability layer of AI, today formally launched its United Arab Emirates entity at Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), the leading global financial centre in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia (MEASA) region.
The announcement was marked by a signing ceremony on the opening day of the Dubai AI Festival 2026, hosted by DIFC. The agreement was signed by Trevor Thompson, President, International, Scale AI, Mohammad Alblooshi, Chief Executive Officer at the DIFC Innovation Hub , in the presence of His Excellency, Arif Amiri, Chief Executive Officer of DIFC Authority. Establishing its entity at the Dubai AI Campus gives Scale AI a permanent home in the UAE and supports its growing team on the ground as it works with institutions, partners and talent across the country.
The launch supports Dubai’s ambition to remain at the forefront of advanced technology adoption. Guided by the UAE Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031, the country has established itself as an early adopter of AI and continues to accelerate its application across government and the wider economy. Scale AI helps governments and enterprises build, evaluate and improve AI systems so they operate reliably in real-world environments, including in Arabic and under local governance requirements.
Trevor Thompson, Global Managing Director, Scale AI, said: "Scale is open for business in the UAE. Establishing our presence at DIFC reflects a long-term commitment to the country and its ambitions for artificial intelligence. We are here to work alongside UAE institutions to build AI systems that are reliable, secure and measurable, and that can be trusted for critical use cases and important decisions. By combining global expertise with a strong understanding of local requirements, we aim to support the responsible development and deployment of AI across the region."
Mohammad Alblooshi, Chief Executive Officer at the DIFC Innovation Hub, said: “We are pleased to welcome Scale AI to DIFC’s Dubai AI Campus. As institutions across the UAE embed AI more deeply into their operations and decision-making, the ability to evaluate and govern how these systems perform becomes a requirement rather than an enhancement. Scale AI joins an ecosystem of 1,933 AI, FinTech and innovation firms at the Centre, with access to the infrastructure, capital and talent needed to build for the region from Dubai. We look forward to supporting Scale as it grows its presence in the region.”
The launch builds on Scale AI's recent momentum in the UAE. Scale AI recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Presight to explore reliable agentic AI applications for government and enterprise customers in the UAE.
Scale AI also works with the world's leading frontier AI labs and develops evaluations and benchmarks that help industry and governments measure how advanced models perform. In the Gulf, Scale AI supports national AI programmes in production, including training initiatives that have helped nearly 6,000 individuals build the AI literacy, practical skills and confidence to put AI to work.
The UAE entity is based at the Dubai AI Campus at DIFC, part of the Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence, which brings together infrastructure, business support and international connections for AI companies building in Dubai.
