Barrafina brings its ingredient-led, counter-dining philosophy to Dubai International Financial Centre, introducing a chef-driven restaurant designed around restraint, seasonality, and thoughtful sourcing.

Intentionally limited to 55 seats, the restaurant is designed around proximity and transparency. Chefs prepare modern Spanish tapas in an open-theatre kitchen positioned behind counter seating, reducing operational excess while placing craftsmanship and produce at the centre of the experience. The format encourages mindful dining, shared plates, and a closer relationship between kitchen and guest. The menu reflects a commitment to seasonality and minimal intervention, evolving in response to daily availability. Much-loved dishes sit alongside Dubai-specific creations that prioritise quality ingredients and careful preparation.

Highlights include classic tortilla, gambas rojas, chicken thighs with romesco, daily specials of clams with salsa verde, and a considered selection of Galician dry-aged beef. Between services, a pared-back para picar menu offers small, purposeful plates such as white anchovy tostada, prawn croquetas, and Spanish bikini sandwiches layered with tuna belly and caviar, supporting lighter, flexible dining throughout the day.

Design choices favour longevity over trend. Natural, hard-wearing materials including marble and stainless steel are paired with Barrafina’s signature red leather stools, an open-theatre kitchen, and artwork by British artist Kate Boxer.
